I was at my local grocery store, wandering the produce section. Napa cabbage wasn't on my mental shopping list, but then I saw this beauty. This thing was massive. About a foot long, solid as a rock. Apparently, the produce follks thought whole it was just too much napa cabbage for one person, so it was sitting there, halved, gleaming among the others. No question, I had to have it.

I was checking out and the bagger, an older man (only older in the fact he was an adult and wasn't the typical lanky, awkward teen bagger), says, "Oh, you got this beauty. I was wondering who'd get it." He was just as delighted by the specimen as I was. I said, "Yep. I'm going to photograph it, then eat it." He said, "No. You should photograph it, then enter the photo into a contest, then eat it."

So, here it is.
