How I Live.
I needed to clean the apartment. Instead of cleaning the apartment, I took pictures of the mess in the apartment. It's a colorful mess.
Droopy tulip, plastic containers from the Economy Shoppe in Oak Park, a piece of paper coated in leftover Print Gocco ink from last night's project.
Silk flower stamens knotted together for an upcoming project. This is the part of my desk between my keyboard and monitor. I was tying these while listening/watching something online. I dropped them into a nearly empty jar of q-tips because it was handy.
To the right of the q-tip jar. Business cards, post-it note with outstanding invoices written on it, an index card from VizThink, a plastic cap from a 64 oz bottle of orange juice when I got sick at the end of January, the cap to my USB drive, the corner of a yellow plastic cough drop box, two favorite rings.
A muffin tin holding plastic bags of beads and some jewelry tools. Haven't worked on jewelry in a long time, so this has been sitting out for a long time.
Mimi Kirchner Tiki doll, Chinese tiger (I was born in the year of the toger), tulips, carrot tops growing under a 2 liter bottle greenhouse
On the worktable: dollhouse wood trim, wood glue, scissors, utility knife

The bag of bags on the office flow. Fabric markers, giant buttons.
Stockpiling padded envelopes in the office closet. Wow. There's a lot.
The pantry shelf: a jar of sea salt too damp for the salt mill, oranges, glass bowl, stack of small tins shaped like doughnuts
Lentils! Spoons, craft pics, jar of rice seasoning
Shelf above sink: wood silverware holders, silverware, tea timer, timer, water bottle cap, tiny glass bowl, garlic.
Tiny head of cabbage, knife, bottom on immersion blender, blender mixing container, red rice splatter on stovetop and countertop
In the sink: rice cooker bowl, rectangular glass containers, glasses
Scraps from project near the dining table (where I sew). White towel I iron on.
Between my sewing chair and the wall.
On the windowseat: Fabrics that didn't get used in the latest project + technology from a half unpacked piece of luggage.
On the floor next to the windowseat. Marble ball, cardboard from the immersion blender box, a packet of salt, a postcard I designed, springy cat toy, green luggage, windowseat skirt.

Gunther took my spot after watching a movie in the green chair with the red chenille blanket.
Da guys on the shelf next to the movie chair, owl, creature from the black lagoon, Stripus McGreenley the sock monkey, water bottle, more Mr. Sketch markers, Good magazine.
On the shelf next to the teevee: black candle holder, flicked deer, Netflix envelopes, MP3 player, wool ball, red bowl
Next to the front door: rugs, Danskos, tennies, jeans, dishtowel, canvas bag, yellow plastic bag
Bathroom sink: Fake flowers, teacup holding barrettes, empty cough med bottle, empty deoderant (no, I don't know why they aren't in the garbage that's 2 feet away), toothpaste, bulldog clip, toothbrush

Scissors, earplugs, fingerpuppets, waterglass, skinbrush.

 

Glamorous, eh?
