Here's mom, post-shower, wearing my hat.

I had the quandary of needed a hat to make my orange linen dress, but had no room in my luggage for a big sunhat. So, one night I hemmed the linen dress (a hand-me-down from my 5'11" friend Alise) a chunk for my 5'2" self. The ruffle is the hem and the rest of the hat is from a linen shirt that dyed unevenly and therefore I never wore.

Happily, the hat fit, it matched and it took up a tiny bit of luggage space. Folks liked it, but I still haven't decided if it's cute or too cute.

And we should mention that not one drop of any food or drink was spilled on the linens mom made!
