Once a convent, then a college and now half convent, half conference center, I summed up the center as the place where out-dated furniture goes to retire. And apparently a last vestige of 1950's cooking. As John Ward said, the hallways resemble a rabbit warren, and I was never quite sure how I got back to my room, but I always did. Rooms and food were very basic, but everything had a tone of carefullness and purpose - a tray for styrofoam cups, saran wrap covering a pitcher of syrup, displays on entomology in the hallway.
