First stop is the theater where you get to try on sequin-laden costumes and watch an intro video. Next they feed you a piece of sugary King Cake. Then the first stop is the shop where the magic happens. In this studio, one side was for painting. In one corner a woman was smacking the rings of terraces into alignment on a Styrofoam Leaning Tower of Pisa. Near her was another woman adding a paper mache veneer to a Styrofoam moon. One end is where the Styrofoam is cut. And all in the middle are props waiting for their transformation.
