Friend Shea Nangle approached me to design a classic Man's Ruin tattoo. These traditional sailor tattoos include the following vices: Women, Drinking, Smoking, Gambling (money or cards), the Devil (the Devil, his horns, or the flames of Hell). Shea specifically wanted a suicide king, his wife as an angel/devil woman, a stack of bills, a box of Lucky Strikes, a bottle of Jack Daniels surrounded in hot rod flames. The image below shows the final Illustrator file. The photos at right shows the progress of the tattoo. Patrick Cornolo of Cherry Bomb Tattoo Studio in Chicago did the tattooing over three visits. Shea and I can both highly recommend Patrick.
