I went on the North Chicago Goelitz plant factory tour before all Jelly Belly production went to Fairfield California. It was quite charming and interesting. It was a great birth control method, b/c we happened to be the only non-Mom adults there and we were greatly outnumbered by ill-behaving children. But it's still worth the time, if not alone for the Belly Flops at the Outlet store. Belly flops are the factory rejects (two small, Siamese Jelly Bellys, etc.). They come in 1 kilo bags for some riduculously low price. The only catch is that the flavors in the bag depend on what they've been producing lately. Sadly, I got 2 bags (the second was 1 cent - how could I refuse?) with loads of Pear in them.
