Thursday, August 09, 2001I so dislike summer. Heat makes things break and people act stupid. And my tolerance is at an all-time low. I can get comfortable for a little while, and then something goes wrong (AC breaks down, building electricity box exploded (literally), people showing their extreme ignorance...) and I'm back into crankyland.

Thursday, August 02, 2001So, last week, my friend Nancy was regaling me in stories about button making with her Badge-A-Minit machine. She told me that they make settings for little pocket mirrors. That got me thinking, I asked to borrow her machine, last night she gave me the lesson and tonight I made my first mirrors. Boy are they charming! After a few failed attempts I got in the swing of it and decided to time myself. Lo and behold 55 second a button. It took me a good 10 minutes to make the connection that 55 sec is roughly a minute = Badge-A-Minit. I laughed at myself and appreciate their truth in advertising!
