Free Range Hedgehog
The danger of Numo getting stuck behind a bookshelf or something is just too great. Therefore he spends nearly all his time in his cage (sleeping by day, running by night) or in his playpen pushing around cardboard tubes.

Today he got supervised freedom among my blankets. He absolutely loves burrowing in them, and this has the highest PPF. Purr Potential Factor. This is usually done post-pooping and I hope for the best. Here's pics from the session:

Look at that pointy lil snout. Here he looks most like how hedgehogs are usually drawn with that swoopy nose.

I swear hedghogs are the most ameobic mammals; meaning that they can change their shape and expression so much.

It's HOT!

Imagine both Numo and I in our little Chicago apartment, fans whirring, splayed out and moving as little as possible. It's just too bad Numo doesn't appreciate the James Bond movies and the iced coffee that's getting me through the heat.

Uh Oh
If you're just tuning in, Numo's favorite thing is to push around cardboard tubes on his head. If he's pushing a toilet paper tube, he can push it through the PVC corner.

A paper towel tube?

NOTE: I wanted and got a hedgehog, I do not want hedgehog stuff. Really, I mean it. When you see hedgehog stuff, think of me and Numo, but please do not buy it for me/us.
