![]() Art vs. Craft Turner Ballroom 1034 N 4th Street, Milwaukee November 5-6, 2004 Friday 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm, Saturday 11:00 am - 6:00 pm < THIS Friday and Saturday! $2 admission - get list of vendors, so well worth it! My first non-Chicago
craft show. Let's hope Milwaukee likes me! I don't know where my booth
will be within the ballroom, but I hear the building is beautiful. Please
pass the word onto your Milwaukee area friends! ![]() The DIY Trunk Show Pulaski Park Auditorium 1419 W Blackhawk, Chicago November 13, 2004 10:00 am - 4:30 am < NEXT Saturday! Free See me in booth 31! This is a darn lovely show in a lovely space. It's expanded to several rooms, but you can find me in the same location as last year in the main auditorium. Walk in and look to the right front corner for Brandyland! And I really like the idea that the stage will be home of Stitch-N-Bitch lessons.
![]() DEPART-ment Open End 2000 W Fulton, Chicago Dec 3-5, 2004 Friday 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday 11:00 am - 5:00 pm Free This show is a different model, organized not by booth, but by department. Created to be a quarterly event, an alternative department show so Chicagoans can patronize local craftspeople. ![]() Loosetooth.com Trunk Shows Locations variable Times variable Last year, I started throwing jewelry trunk shows in my friends' homes. Some went swimmingly, others were gasping for air. The principle is simple: A friend agrees to host a party (since 95% of my jewelry is designed for women, it tends to be all women), she invites friends and make snacks or makes it a potluck. I bring all my jewelry. I talk about my work and the guests get to try things on and take their time to buy. Whatever we sell, the host gets 25% of the total in free jewelry. Think the Tupperware model, but with shiny things you can wear. Brandyware. If you're a friend in Chicago, and would like to host one, contact me. Calendar - See the Shows, at a Glance! Done and Gone:
See me in booth #6! Last year this was a great show for me, and got me to organize my thoughts on shows into the article, Craft Show 101. Let's hope for nice weather and that the two day show is twice as nice! I'll be bringing cheap cookies and sodas and will have picnic blankets for friends who want to hang out and take a breather. URGENT UPDATE! I'll be in booth number #6 on Saturday, as seen below. Due to a last minute change, booths #1-13 need to be moved for Sunday due to a farmers market. Please scroll down to see the map for Sunday. Saturday Sunday |
