Graphic facilitation detail of customer with extended arms

Yesterday's project was all about humans and technology. A conference all about data, user experience, current and future of information technology.

This detail illustrates how I use Ico, my everyman in my live, large visual notetaking for conferences.

Reasons to use your very own mascot in your visual practice:

  • If the session's objective is to focus on your people (customer, partner, leader, attendee, team or community member), that person is in the room with you on my giant piece of paper.
  • They humanize the content overall.
  • Using a large-scale person works beautifully as an organizing structure. A whole can be attached to them as the session progresses.
